The price you pay for your awning will depend on a number of things.

If you are willing and able to install your own awning then that is a great way of keeping the price of your awning down.

If you are looking for something a little more bespoke, then there are supplier online that will supply you directly. Suppliers like Primrose Awnings where you will have a choice of a few different fabrics and the option of remote control operation with price around £499.00 https://www.primrose.co.uk/half-cassette-electric-awning-charcoal-frame# (I have no idea of the quality of these awnings, primrose customer service or guarantees or after sales service).
Please look at reviews and ask about their aftersales service for online retailers before you buy. Your awning will be open to the elements like wind and rain so please make sure you can get spare parts for your awning should the worst happen.

Ok, so you would like an awning company to supply and install your awning.
If you live in a 2 or 3 storey home then having an awning is fairly straight forward.
If you live in a bungalow this is still no problem. Your awning supplier will be able to have special brackets made to enable you to have an awning on your home. The special brackets will cost around £500 on top of the price of your awning.
How much are patio awnings? Which style of awning?
There are 3 styles of awning for you choose from. The price of your awning will alter depending on your choice.
Option one we call an open awning. By open we mean there is no protective casing around the fabric. We would install this style of awning with an aluminium lid so the fabric has a degree of weather protection. This style of awning would not be suitable for awnings on a bungalow.
Option two is a semi cassette awning. Semi cassette awning have a casing around the fabric to protect it from the worst of the elements but the rest of the awning is left exposed.
Option three and by far the most popular awning style is a fully cassette awning. Fully cassette is exactly as it sounds with everything inside a weatherproof casing.
How much are patio awnings? How do you want to control your awning?
There are three ways your awning can be operated that will have an impact on the price.
Option one is gearbox and handle. Fine for awnings 3 metres wide or smaller and with a projection of 2 metres or less. Any bigger than those sizes and it is not easy to wind in and out.
Option two is remote controlled. This option will add around £300 to the price of a gearbox operated awning. In my opinion well worth the extra.
Option three is automatic. Your awning will be operated with a remote as with option 2 but will also have a sun and wind sensor. So when the sun shines you awning will bring itself out and should it go dark for a period of time or the wind picks up the awning will put itself away. The sensor will add around £150.00 to the price.
How much are patio awnings? Size does matter.
The biggest factor when it comes to awning prices is the size.
The wider the awning and the further you would like it to come out the more expensive your awning will be.

I hope the prices were helpful. Please remember if you would like an awning and you have a bungalow you need to add £500 to these prices for the special brackets.
There is one other extra that is available on the German made awnings and that is a drop down valance.
A traditional awning has a fixed depth valance that is usually around 200mm deep (yellow awning photo). The drop down valance (grey awning) allows you alter the depth of the valance depending on the height of the sun in the sky and how much sun protection you need. The drop down valance can go all the way to the floor of required.
As you can see from the photo the valance is made from a mesh material which is designed to cut out the glare whilst still allowing you to view your garden.
